I just got him one week ago. He is a 4 year old ball python. He is still active but he just sounds and looks stuffy and congested (he wasn't like that at the petstore and I the guy I bought him from I know and trust). I am using repta bark and a heating pad under the aquarium, as well as a 60 watt lamp beside the aqauarium for extra heat/light during the day. I have also been boiling water to try and raise the humidity in the house because it is dry and cold in South Carolina right now (I also mist him once or twice a day with warm water). I have heard that there is a medicine of some kind for reptile respiratory infections at PetSmart or something... is that true? I am an artist (who loves science) and sometimes I think that they are different things and sometimes I think that they are the same thing. Art like science deals a lot with precision, proportion, geometry, math and calculation (some artsy artists think that you can't mix math and art hehehe), physics and chemistry, but art also deals more with beauty and aestetics. Science deals more with math and calculation, discoveries, practicality but still to design a spaceship you need to make it beautiful. And some areas like industrial design are science and art at the same time. But for studying both science and art inteligence and crativity is required. Some people still think that you don't need inteligence to make beautiful art, they think artists just have a "gift" to draw, paint and sculpt and they take them for granted. How can I slow the aging process?

I'm 21 years old and haven't really lived my life. I missed a lot of opportunities, so it's really important to me to look as young as I can for as long as I can until I've at least had some experiences with the opposite . Wow it's hard for me to explain how for the first time in my life. So I have access to a pedigree, and have also done a gel electrophoresis for a family, looking at the ear wax gene. A few of the males in the pedigree had three bands on their gel, which corresponds to a hetero-zygote genotype. If the trait is x-linked, CAN a male even be a hetero-zygote, since they only have ONE X chromosome? (Or does this mean that it must then be an austosomal trait?) Because by doing a pedigree ysis, you cannot determine if the gene has a autosomal recessive or x-linked recessive mode of inheritance.

I think it is awesome. I feel every school should teach a climate change course. People are intrigued about the climate and yes should teach all aspects of climate change, not Greenhouse gases are causing climate change or no it's the sun that is causing climate change. Both sides are necessary. Kids should understand the concepts and theories behind climate change so they can be educated and not have a narrow dogmatic view. Since climate change is a current science being discussed everywhere, we should add this to update our current science curriculum. I'm all for it.. if I was still in school I'd sign up for it. I'm just curious at what level it will be taught and if students will get all aspects of climate change or just the view point of the teacher, that will have to observed and regulated, unless in college then you can have one teacher say this then another say that, but as for elementary and secondary the curriculum should be monitored. I am shorter for a guy, I think 5'5, my girlfriend is about 5'8, I always said I would never date a girl more than an inch taller than me, but there is an easy way to make a guy forget about height. The best is when you sit on a couch to watch a movie, lay down in a ball and put your head on his chest, as long as you can do what a smaller girl can do then its not really a big deal. My girlfriend always puts her head on my chest and curls up in a ball next to me and it took me about 3 months to realize how much taller she was. I am not going to say the height difference for you is the same but I think as long as you let him be the "man" in the relationship, he really won't pay much attention to it, and also if he is continuing going on dates with you then I doubt he cares to much about your height or he would not keep going. Do not worry about sqeezing his hand either, you have to do that because if you really do end up becoming serious then it will be more awkward if you do it then and he isn't used to it then, you should not have to hide things you like to do, if he really likes you he will learn to accept it.

Yes. You should pursue this if this is what you find interesting. It is a good field of work too. I would suggest a trigonometry cl too, when you have time in the future. Trig is useful to know for plotting courses and trajectories of weather systems. Also, I would suggest that you call a local television station, and ask if you could visit and talk to the local meteorologist, and ask them for any helpful advice. Tell them of your desire to pursue this as a career, and ask them if they have any summer jobs, so that you can see what exactly is involved in this field. (provided you live close enough to a tv station) Also, contact the school counselor, and a college you'd like to attend in the future. The problems ociated with the bailout were the result of Clinton and liberals pushing banks to give loans to people that were not qualified. To reduce the losses those financial institutions sold the loans at discounts in order to get more money to give more bad loans. Those on Congressional committees that were supposed to monitor things found it better to take payoffs and ignore what was happening. Now taxpayers that do not want to waste the money have been ignored by congress. I think it is time to change the way things are going and put term limits on both houses of congress to limit the corruption. Intelligent peole know it is the liberals driving this madness.

We're a child care provider and many of our clients get help from medi-cal, etc. to make payments for day care. Problem is, the gov't entities that are supposed to pay within 30 days from time we submit invoice frequently come up with excuses for not paying in timely manner. Putting huge financial strain on day care (having hard time paying personnel and accts. payable because of this). I was told that there's legislation out there which protects nonprofits from being starved out like this. Anyone know if this is true and where to find this info.?

Spotting normally happends 3 weeks after your last regular period. I only spotted for one day and it was after me and my fiance had and it was only one time so 3 days I think is more that spotting. But test are usually right as i've taken many trying to get pregnant, and when i found out i was a week ago the test clearly will let you know. Wait a week and take another and if still no luck, I'm sorry to say your probably not sweetie :(

i've had this problem, what happens is, well thi sis what happened with me is that the external hard drive was given a letter( eg E:) and if i stuck a usb stick the drive letter changed. Go to control panel>administrative tools>computer management and see if the externa hard drive letter corresponds to the hard drive letter you see when you get info on an itunes track.

Endurance for a novice biker?

It sounds like there's issues with the placenta that are jeoparising this pregnancy, the baby's not thriving (the IUGR or intra uterine growth restriction shows that). Unfortunately, there is little that can be done during pregnancy, just hold your breath, hope and pray. If your wife can carry 4 more weeks, doctors will work to save your little one if s/he needs to be born early, but the longer she can carry, the better. The meds will hopefully help her carry longer or at least give the baby a better chance of survival if born very early. Unfortunately, even though we think we're in control and that our little ones are safest when in our wombs, it the only time in life when we can't protect them, we have to hope that nature is kind and grants a few more weeks. For now, your baby is alive, so be thankful every day for as long as that's true. Hopefully, you will spend the rest of your life being thankful for this fact.

Kurt Cobain wrote most of Nirvana's songs, and since he took his own life and judging from his published notes, it's apparent he didn't think very highly of himself at all, in fact, saying his daughter would be better off without him. He was however, in many opinions, a very gifted lyricist and musician. There is no comparison between Nirvana and U2, other than they garnered legions of fans. Why do my (Christian) teachers claim that no transitional fossils have ever been found?

I attend a private Christian school, the same one that I've attended since kindergarten, and occasionally we touch on evolution in my science cles. Obviously there is more than a bit of a bias towards creationism at my school, and evolution-bashing is more or less a bonding experience for teachers and students. I have no idea why, but I was only recently able to make the connection between my teacher's claims that no transitional fossils had ever been discovered, and the numerous articles on recently discovered transitional fossils that I had been reading in National Geographic for the last 3 years. When I asked my Science teacher about it, he said that they were just regular fossils, or that they were models of what transitional fossils. Anyway, I have an inclination to pretty much always think I'm wrong, so I have to ask if there's something I'm missing here. I'd really appreciate it if someone could clear the air for me.
