Why is it that most of the terrible natural disasters always seem to hit very poor countries?

They are closer to the tectonic plates in the case of the earthquakes, are in volatile weather areas in the case of hurricanes or are suffering because of rich countries spewing greenhouse gases into the atmosphere in the case of Bangladesh. Conservatives always deny global warming and live in their little fantasy world but the people in Bangladesh don't have that luxury. Good question! Sweden almost never gets natural disasters at all and they're 85% non-religious. That leaves out divine interference!
