Help with similes and metaphors for a essay?

Its a persuasive essay about school uniforms.. (my opinion is that i dont think its necessary) and were supposed to start it off with an attention grabber, so i wrote "i belive uniforms should be used for the army, and maybe some jobs, but not for school. Obligating kids to wear uniforms does not allow them to express their individual style.." I need a simile or metaphore (i perfer a simile) to go after that sentance for my essay please make sure it goes well with what i am writting.. Please help and i really appreciate it. thanks so much !
