Why do we need name brand designer stuff?

its ridiculous how much girls spend on abercrombie and prada and coach and uggs. UGGS ARE SHEEPSKIN AND KANGAROO FUR AND THEY KILL THE ANIMAL! the only thing designer i have is 2 vera bradleys. why do we need to follow the trends and why do we need to wear what everyone else wears. what happened to starting your own trends?
