Meiosis Help?

no no no....i think you are confused one of the only times meosis has 23 chromosomes is when it is human reporduction...depending ont the animal there wil be diffrent #s of chromosomes get it?.....and cells that go through meosis have to be diffrent because you are produceing an actual life that needs diffrent function for diffrent thing unlike mitosis where its just cells....in a human meiosis has to produce a liver, kidneys ect.
