Is Orphan (2009 horror movie) a good movie?

Okay, so my friend wanted me to come to her house to watch Orphan but I watched the trailer and it looks very good and scary, but can someone tell me, is it like a trashy horror flick or is it like a really really good story line and whatever because I don't like gory trashy horror flicks but one with huge surprises and twists in the story line.
